Native Forest Foundation

Inspiring people to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees, by collecting, conserving and propagating fast-disappearing native wild fruit trees. Works to document traditional horticultural knowledge for the benefit of future generations in Sri Lanka. Volunteers are involved with collection, conservation and propagation of native edible plants, documentation of ethnobotany and revitalisation of traditional medicine amongst young generation in rural Sunday schools with local healers. Work includes manure-ing, weeding, watering, participation of Sunday school sessions, visiting rural farmers.
