Jesus People Against Pollution (JPAP)

Jesus People Against Pollution (JPAP) is a faith-based nonprofit organization founded in 1992 by Pastor Dr. Charlotte L. Keys to address environmental, economic, and racial justice issues in Columbia, Mississippi. The organization serves a low-income community of color that has suffered severe health effects from decades of industrial pollution, notably following a 1977 explosion at the Reichhold Chemical plant that released toxic chemicals associated with Agent Orange production.
