100 Island Challenge

The 100 Island Challenge is a scientific research initiative based at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography (University of California) dedicated to understanding how coral reefs worldwide are changing over time, using a "natural experiment" approach to study reefs across various islands to understand how different factors like human activities and oceanographic conditions affect their health and resilience, and ultimately understand how we can better manage coral reefs in the face of global change.
