The Africa Faith and Justice Network (AFJN) is a community of advocates for responsible United States (US) relations with Africa, focusing on issues of peace building, human rights, and social justice that tie directly into Catholic Social Teaching--advocating for US economic and political policies that will benefit Africa’s poor majority, facilitate an end to armed conflict, establish equitable trade and investment with Africa and promote sustainable development.

A coalition of frontline communities fighting for environmental protection, A2 has more than 400 member-communities in all U.S. states and territories who are impacted by flooding, toxic waste, wildfires, drought and heat — all compounded by development and climate change. Supported by partner organizations with expertise in engineering, hydrology, public health, planning, and the law, A2 leaders have successfully halted developments in climate-vulnerable areas; implemented nature-based hazard mitigation strategies; organized home buyouts; and pushed for clean-ups at superfund sites, toxic landfills, and petrochemical plants.

The Association facilitates the improvement of the socio-economic condition of the rural population of Georgia and environmental protection through fostering the development of organic farming, the introduction of agro-ecological practices, diversification of economic activity and increasing self-reliance of the population in rural areas.
